The ACGME’s longstanding commitment to improving and supporting the well-being of current and future physicians includes a variety of efforts and resources.

Learn at ACGME

The ACGME has created and curated numerous tools and resources related to implementing well-being activities in graduate medical education (GME) and clinical learning environments. Resources are geared toward both individuals and system-wide practice. These are housed in the ACGME’s digital learning platform, Learn at ACGME. Some resources are open access; others require a free account.

Research

The ACGME has conducted research on well-being in GME and the clinical learning environment. These research efforts have involved monitoring changes in the well-being of residents, fellows, and others in GME, as well as measuring the effectiveness of well-being interventions being implemented at programs and institutions across the country. Other research on well-being can be reviewed in The Journal of Graduate Medical Education.
