Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Situational Judgment Testing Among Applicants to an Anesthesiology Residency Program
Victoria Rosales, MD; Christopher Conley, MD; Mark C. Norris, MD
The authors examined the effects of race/ethnicity, sex, and US versus international medical school attendance on Computer-Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics (CASPer) performance. The results suggest CASPer scores favor White applicants over Black and Hispanic ones and applicants attending US medical schools over those attending international medical schools.
Mobile Application to Improve Just-in-Time Two-Way Formative Feedback in Graduate Medical Education
Jane Rowat, MS; Girish Mhatre, MCS; Manish Suneja, MD
The authors designed an iOS app to capture entrustable professional activities (EPA)-based feedback (e.g., informed consent) based on direct observation of residents’ skills in the workplace. They found the app facilitates the efficient completion of EPA-based formative assessments and captures bidirectional feedback in the workplace setting.

Every 10 years, Review Committees are required to review their specialty-specific Program Requirements to determine necessary revisions. The ACGME Board of Directors has approved a new process for all such major revisions going forward.
The process convenes specialty-specific writing groups, who, along with members of the specialty community and leaders from other specialties and related fields, rigorously and creatively consider what the specialty will look like in the future (recognizing that the future is marked with significant uncertainty). Out of this process, the writing group drafts and proposes revisions to the Program Requirements that will prepare learners for current and future practice.
The following writing group requests feedback:
