The ACGME is pursuing a rural data enhancement project to improve the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of graduate medical education (GME) location data. As part of this project, health systems and consortia will be removed as types of participating sites from the Accreditation Data System (ADS). If an ACGME-accredited program lists a health system or consortium as a participating site, ACGME staff members will contact the Sponsoring Institution's designated institutional official and institutional coordinator(s) with options.

Into the Unknown: Characterizing Fellow Uncertainty During the Transition to Unsupervised Practice

This study explored fellows' uncertainty during the transition to unsupervised practice and found that education programs and hiring institutions play an important role in supporting fellows as they navigate this transition.
The following Review Committee seeks its next public member for a six-year term beginning July 1, 2024. Public members share the perspective of the public, foster public accountability, enrich the work of the Review Committee through outside expertise, and create transparency. While nominees cannot be physicians, other health care professionals are permitted if they are not employed by an organization with ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship programs.
