Join the second National Health Equity Grand Rounds event, Follow the Money! Understanding the Structural Incentives for Inequity in Health Care and Beyond, on Tuesday, May 9 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Central.
Leading experts in equity will highlight how profiteering in health care incentivizes inequity by perpetuating and exacerbating segregated systems of care and explore strategies for dismantling our existing systems to catalyze change.
Developed by the ACGME, American Medical Association (AMA), National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education, and RespectAbility, the National Health Equity Grand Rounds is a series of presentations by national leaders and experts on content designed to promote conversation and collaborative work toward a healthier future for all.
Continuing Medical Education credit will be offered at no cost to attendees. This activity has been approved for 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.
The ACGME is pursuing a rural data enhancement project to improve the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of GME location data. As part of this project, health systems and consortia will be removed as types of participating sites from the Accreditation Data System. If an ACGME-accredited program lists a health system or consortium as a participating site, ACGME staff members will contact the Sponsoring Institution's designated institutional official and institutional coordinator(s) with options.

The ACGME will host its second National Learning Community of Sponsoring Institutions meeting in Chicago and remotely September 19-20, 2023. With opportunities to share and connect with other institutional GME leaders, the meeting will focus on:
• Transforming education through GME innovation
• Demonstrating commitment to excellence in patient care
• Optimizing health systems for learning
The ACGME seeks presentations, workshops, and posters that align with the above pathways. Submissions will be accepted through May 26, 2023.

A Qualitative Study on the Outcomes of Participation in a Longitudinal Clinician Educator Curriculum During Internal Medicine Residency

Using semi-structured interviews, this qualitative study of internal medicine graduates identified key themes surrounding participation in a clinician educator track during residency, including positively perceived educator development outcomes and themes surrounding educator identity formation.
